Bear spotted in McArthur Island Park

People in the North Shore of Kamloops spotted a bear in the popular McArthur Island Park over the Thanksgiving weekend.

McAuthur Island Park is open again after a bear was spotted in the area over the weekend.

Allison Clarke was one of the people who spotted the bear over the weekend.

After that, someone put up warning posters and roped off the trail behind the golf course with yellow tape, but the City Parks department says it wasn't them.

Workers who went in on Tuesday saw no sign of a bear.
