A century ago, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, the First World War ended with the signing of the Armistice.

On Nov. 11, we remember more than 66,000 Canadians who died on the battlefields of Europe in that war, and the more than 45,000 who lost their lives in the Second World War. We mark the 65th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the Korean War and remember the more than 500 Canadian lives lost in that conflict.

We remember the contributions of all Canadians who have served and who continue to serve.
