Police looking for brown SUV after weekend shooting near Club 77

Police are looking for a brown Mercedes-Benz connected to a weekend shooting near Club 77 that left two men hospitalized.

Two men were found with gunshot wounds Sunday morning. Both are now in stable condition

Hamilton police are looking for a brown, newer model Mercedes-Benz they believe is connected to a Saturday night shooting in the King William Street and James Street North area in Hamilton.

Police say they believe the car may belong to a suspect in the shooting. 

At roughly 1:45 a.m, on Sunday, Oct. 15, officers responded to a call near Club 77. Two 24-year-old men were found with gunshot wounds, police said.

Both men were taken to the hospital, according to police. One man was in stable condition while the other was in critical condition. Hamilton police spokesperson Jackie Penman told CBC Hamilton officers believe the shooting was targeted.

Both men are now in stable condition, police say. 

Penman previously told CBC Hamilton there were many witnesses to the shooting. 

Police are urging anyone with information about the brown Mercedes-Benz or with footage of the shooting to contact police.
