Police are looking for two men who they believed to have fled in a car with a bullet hole after an overnight shooting downtown.

Police found several bullet casings on the ground near Caroline St. S. between King and Main streets

Police are looking for two men who they believe fled in a car with a bullet hole after an overnight shooting downtown.

Hamilton police were called about a reported shooting around 2:45 a.m. on Caroline Street south between King and Main streets downtown.

Police say witnesses saw two men fleeing from the area and a vehicle with a possible flat tire and bullet hole. Police describe the car as a red Toyota Yaris or a similar car.

Investigators found several bullet casings on the ground.

Police didn't know as of later Tuesday morning if anyone was injured, nor what motive there might be for the shooting.

Hamilton police detectives are investigating and hope anyone with information will give them a call or contact Crime Stoppers.
