'Urgent' repairs needed on the LINC force overnight closures this week
Three interchanges closed at a time starting Monday at 9 p.m.
Expect overnight closures on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway this week, during "urgent" repairs to overhead sign structures, the city of Hamilton said.
About three interchanges will be closed at a time starting Monday at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Work will start in westbound lanes at Upper Gage Avenue, then continue west, the city said in a press release.
Crews will switch to the eastbound lanes when westbound lane work is finished.
In order to accommodate urgent repairs to the overhead sign structures on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway, we'll be conducting rolling closures beginning TONIGHT for approximately five nights. Drivers should follow signs for the emergency detour routes, the city said.
The closures will continue overnight until the work is finished, which the city says will be around Friday.
"A detailed schedule for the locations of the rolling closures is not available due to the nature of the operations," a press release stated.
