Trudeau campaign returns to Hamilton Wednesday
Liberal Party leader set to appear at Mohawk college in campaign stop
Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will be at Hamilton's Mohawk College Wednesday morning for a campaign stop focused on innovation, research and infrastructure.
The engagement, tentatively scheduled for 8 a.m., is supposed to be held in the school's library, though Hamilton Mountain Liberal candidate Shaun Burt believes that could be moved elsewhere on campus due to high demand.
"The word has spread ... All of Hamilton is invited. It's going to be huge," said Burt.
Burt said Trudeau's focus will be on the Liberal's infrastructure plan, something that will be particularly interesting for the city of Hamilton and its "crumbling infrastructure."
Though Mohawk college falls under the Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas riding, Burt said Trudeau's stop isn't focused on any particular riding. Burt expects all Hamilton Liberal candidates will be in attendance.
It wil be Trudeau's second stop in Hamilton during the campaign.
