Hamilton Bulldogs eliminated from playoff contention
Bulldogs return to Hamilton Saturday for final AHL regular season game against the Lake Erie Monsters
Ben Street had two goals and an assist as the Lake Erie Monsters doubled up the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 on Friday in American Hockey League action.
The loss officially eliminates Hamilton from qualifying for the post-season.
Andrew Agozzino scored once and added two helpers for the Monsters (34-29-12) while Michael Schumacher, Joey Hishon and Tomas Vincour supplied the rest of the offence.
Gabriel Dumont, Connor Crisp and Charles Hudon found the back of the net for the Bulldogs (34-29-12).
Sami Aittokallio started in net for Lake Erie and stopped 19-of-21 shots before giving way to Calvin Pickard, who turned aside 9-of-10 shots in 11:43 of relief. Mike Condon kicked out 28-of-32 shots for Hamilton, which gave up two empty-net goals late in the third period.

The Monsters went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Bulldogs scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday when they'll return home for their final AHL regular season game on Fan Appreciation Night against the Lake Erie Monsters. The game takes place at FirstOntario Centre at 7 p.m.
