Fourth murder suspect named in Tyler Johnson shooting

Hamilton police have named the fourth person charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of McMaster student Tyler Johnson.
Louis Rebelo, 26, of Hamilton is charged with first-degree murder. The arrest came after officers searched his central Mountain home.
It’s the sixth arrest in the shooting death of the 30-year-old Hamilton man. Johnson was gunned down during an early-morning altercation on Nov. 30, 2013 in front of Vida La Pita, a restaurant on King Street West at Caroline, just west of Hess Village.
On Dec. 11, officers arrested Brandon Barreira, 19, of Cambridge, also after using a search warrant. Barreira is charged with first-degree murder.
Police have also charged Chad Davidson, 34, and Joshua Barreira, 25, with first degree murder. Both live in Hamilton. A 27-year-old and 28-year-old female are also charged with accessory after the fact.
Rebelo will appear in court on Tuesday.
