A pickup truck crashed into a Queenston Road Tim Hortons Tuesday night, injuring five people inside.

The truck crashed through a large glass window and came to rest inside the restaurant around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Injuries were minor, and most were treated at the scene, but one was treated in hospital and released.

The incident happened when a driver was parking his truck on the southeast corner of the Tim Hortons parking lot.

Another vehicle was exiting the drive-thru when the truck driver accelerated into a parking spot to avoid a perceived collision, but lost control, mounted the curb and crashed into the restaurant, Hamilton police say.
