Body found at Devil's Punchbowl a non-criminal investigation
Emergency crews have been called to the Devil’s Punchbowl to investigate a body found by hikers Tuesday afternoon, police say.
There is no criminal investigation involved with the body found by hikers at The Devil’s Punchbowl Tuesday afternoon, police say.
Crews were called to the scene around 12:20 p.m. Police, fire and emergency crews were working to retrieve the man, police spokesperson Debbie McGreal-Dinning told CBC Hamilton.
"This is a non-criminal investigation," McGreal-Dinning said.
Fire information officer Bob Simpson said the man was found down by the base of the falls. "It won't be a difficult extraction," he said. "It's fairly level travel."
Ridge Road is closed between First Road and Upper Centennial.
