The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are promoting Orlondo Steinauer to head coach and making June Jones the team's associate head coach and offensive co-ordinator.

Jones guided the team to an 8-10 record in the regular season.

The Tiger-Cats finished second in the East and reached the division final before falling to Ottawa.

The 45-year-old Steinauer served as an assistant under Jones this past season.

The CFL team confirmed Steinauer's return last week but did not say what his position would be.

Steinauer, a five-time all-star over his 13-year CFL playing career, first turned to coaching in 2010 as a defensive backs coach with the Toronto Argonauts.
