Hamilton Health Sciences lab staff have an important message for the public.
"We came into work because of you...you have to stay home for us."
Staff at Hamilton Health Sciences sent out a tweet with that message on Wednesday as more and more people adjusted to social distancing requirements because of the COVID-19 virus.
In the tweeted photo, five lab staff members are wearing masks and holding a sign that reads, "We came into work because of you...you have to stay home for us."
People seem to be getting the message. The tweet has had 1.1K likes and 575 retweets as of Thursday morning.
As of Thursday morning, Hamilton had confirmed 21 positive cases. Heritage Green Nursing Home in Stoney Creek reported the city's first case in a long term care home. The 80-year-old woman is being treated at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
