A Hamilton man is facing child pornography charges after allegedly uploading child pornography to Skype, police say.
The Hamilton police internet child exploitation unit started an investigation after being passed a tip from the national child exploitation coordination centre.
Police say a man had uploaded child porn in a Skype messenger chat, as well as on the Chatstep app.
Police zeroed in on a Hamilton address as being used for those two uploads.
Investigators carried out a search warrant at a Hamilton home last Thursday.
A 38-year-old Hamilton man was arrested. He is facing charges of possession of child pornography, and making child pornography available to others.
