Sam Roberts Band, Tom Cochrane, High Valley headline 2018 Festival of Friends

This year's Festival of Friends lineup features Canadian rock legends Tom Cochrane and Sam Roberts, along with country stars High Valley.

Other acts include Holly Woods & Toronto and Shawn Austin. The free festival announced its headlining acts Monday morning.

Best-known for hits including Life is a Highway and White Hot, Canadian rocker Cochrane was nominated for a Grammy in 1993 and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2003 after winning six Junos.

He, along with his band Red Rider, will close out the festival at 9:30 p.m. on August 5.

Sam Roberts Band has had its share of success too, becoming a household name in Canada with songs such as Brother Down, Bridge to Nowhere and Hard Road. The group has won multiple Juno and MuchMusic Video Awards.

They'll play the CHCH Main Stage at 9:30 p.m. on August 3.

High Valley will offer country music fans something to cheer for when they take the stage on August 4 at 9:30 p.m. Made up of two brothers from rural Alberta, the group has been twice nominated for Juno awards.

The Festival of Friends runs for three days from Aug. 3 to 5 at Gage Park.
