'Blizzard like conditions:' Snow squall warning for Niagara Region

Travellers are told to expect quickly changing conditions with heavy blowing snow and "near zero visibility."

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for the Niagara Region as snowfall and strong winds are expected to create "blizzard-like conditions" Tuesday.

The weather warning for Niagara Falls and Welland the southern Niagara Region was issued at 8:10 a.m. and states some parts of the area could see more than 15 cm of snow which, when combined with the wind, could lead to "significantly" reduced visibility.
