Rain Hye is a former student trustee in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. He has worked with several organizations in Hamilton, including the Disability Justice Network of Ontario, Hamilton Students for Justice (where he worked with Ahona Mehdi and Sabreina Dahab) and the Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion, where he conducted research on the experiences of racialized candidates and worked alongside Ward 14 candidate Kojo Damptey.
