CBC's Radio Active was live in person at the Katz Group Centre for Pharmacy and Health Research on the University of Alberta's north campus on Nov. 8.

It's been one year since the Alberta government announced the restructuring of health care in our province focusing on primary care, acute care, continuing care and mental health and addiction.

We looked at what changes have actually happened and what it means to our health-care system now.

We talked with medical students about why they want to be part of the system. We met Albertans who have to travel hours to get care. And we looked at some of the latest innovations coming out of our province.
