Rod Kurtz brings 40 years of broadcasting experience to Radio Active. He has worked at radio stations across Western Canada. In 2016, Rod won a National Sports Award from Canada's Radio Television and Digital News Association for a radio piece called "Mad for Manny" telling the story of the excitement in Edmonton's Filipino community over the so-called "Fight of the Century" between Manny Pacquio and Floyd Mayweather. In 2014, Rod won a RTDNA Regional Award for his hosting of Radio Active Live at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
