Penguin Plunge, a newly built exhibit near the north entrance to the zoo, is tentatively set for a Feb. 17 grand opening, the zoo said in a written release on Friday.
"While we all wait for the big day, we thought you’d like a peek into the arrival of our penguins," the zoo said in a written release.
The birds — which came from zoos in eastern Canada, Scotland and several U.S. locations — are still completing a required quarantine period in holding rooms of the new facility, officials said.
The four species of penguins included in the exhibit are: king, gentoo, Humboldt and rockhopper.
