'Used cat salesman' unloads 34 animals at Calgary Humane Society event
Spoof ad on YouTube pushes to find new homes for 'pre-owned' animals
The Calgary Humane Society resorted to the high-pressure sales tactics of a man in a tacky suit for its annual August push to find homes for the cats in its shelter.
And the "used cat salesman" managed to broker deals for 34 adoptions of cats and other animals in the crowded shelter, the society said.
Wow! Thank you to ALL of our supporters, volunteers and staff who helped to make our CAT-TASTIC PAWTY a success - 34 animals adopted!

The YouTube video was created in the run-up to the weekend event.
"Black cats, white cats, tall cats, short cats. We've got cats of all makes, models and colours. They're ready to practically walk off the lot," said the star of the promotional video.
The humane society also posted a hilarious video about the origin of the cat salesman moustache.
"It was ethically crafted from cat hair we found in the shelter vents," joked the shelter on YouTube.
And that's not all the good news. The shelter adopted a total of 106 animals last week.
We're happy to announce that a total of 106 animals found their forever homes last week... including Sassy - YAY! pic.twitter.com/4iIYhTXqXw
