Trican suspends Medicine Hat operations, lays off 100 employees
Company laid off 2,000 people last year
Trican has suspended operations at its Medicine Hat base and laid off 100 people.
A small core is still employed in the southern Alberta city, but as of now Trican will not be offering field pumping services in the Medicine Hat region, said Rob Cox, vice president of Trican's Canadian operations.
"These were very good people who did a very good job but there is just no significant work left for them in this area," Cox told CBC News.
