Tornado spotted in southern Alberta
A tornado has been spotted in southern Alberta 2 kilometres from Enchant — located more than 150 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
Extreme weather event first appeared around 5:20 p.m.

A tornado was spotted two kilometres from Enchant Thursday afternoon, as a severe thunderstorm blew through southern Alberta, bringing damaging winds, large hail and intense rainfall.

The tornado warning, which was first issued around around 5:20 p.m. near Carmangay, was downgraded to a severe thunderstorm around 6 p.m.

The storm is moving eastward at 70 km/h, according to Environment Canada.
The same storm blew threw Calgary earlier, producing large hail.
