It wasn't quite the size of a golf ball, but hail did fall in Turner Valley.

Flashes of lightning lit up the sky.

And painted the horizon all sorts of vibrant colours.

It even struck a building in Connaught around 4:45 p.m.

Snow blanketed Jumping Pound, just west of Calgary.

And Southland Drive was shut to traffic both ways at 24 St. S.W.
