Rain, hail, lightning pound southern Alberta
Flooding seen in some parts of Calgary
Some extreme weather hit southern Alberta Saturday afternoon including pounding rain, hail and lightning strikes.
"Meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing toonie size hail and rainfall in excess of 50 millimetres," Environment Canada said.
"Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads."
Severe thunderstorm warnings were lifted for many communities in the Calgary area just before 6 p.m. MT
