Shortly after 3 p.m., emergency services and police responded to reports of gunshots in the 100 block of Martindale Boulevard, according to police.

One man was found dead at the scene with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, according to a Calgary Police Service news release issued Saturday evening.

Two other victims with gunshot wounds were transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

"When I heard the news, we [got] scared a little bit because it happened [in] front of the temple, and my kids play every week here," Singh said.
