Calgary man charged with 3 sexual assaults targeting teen girls

Police say a man has been charged with three sexual assaults after approaching victims from behind and touching them in a sexual manner.

According to a release, the incidents occurred in November, January and February in the communities of West Hillhurst, Thorncliffe and Huntington Hills.

Police say two of the female victims were under 16, and the other was under 18.

Bogdan Botezatu, 34, was arrested on Feb. 5. He was charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference with a person under 16 and one count of wearing a disguise while committing an offence.

Police say Botezatu is due to appear in court on March 1 and that the investigation is ongoing.
