Woman charged in kidnapping, armed break-in arrested after Canada-wide warrant
The incidents took place in both Alberta and Saskatchewan
A woman with a Canada-wide warrant for an armed break-in in Calgary has been arrested and charged for a recent robbery and kidnapping incident in Saskatchewan.
The Regina Police Service said in a release Wednesday that a 34-year-old man had been kidnapped and assaulted earlier this month.
Police said the victim was in contact with a woman through a messaging service on Oct. 9.
After agreeing to get together in person, the man found himself in an unfamiliar house with a group of unknown people.
It's alleged he was kidnapped, assaulted and robbed before being forced to take an unknown substance believed to be drugs.
The victim was returned home, but police say the perpetrators left with his car, some electronic equipment and other personal items.
After the incident was reported to police, an investigator recognized one of the suspects who was located and arrested on Oct.17.
Sarah Dawn Louisa Wilm, 30, of Regina is charged with robbery, assault with a weapon (pellet gun), administering a noxious substance (drugs), kidnapping and extortion.

Police say the investigation is ongoing but Wilm made her first court appearance on these charges on Monday.
She is wanted on different charges in Calgary after residents of a home in the northeast were threatened with a knife during a break-in on Aug. 8. That incident spurred a Canada-wide warrant for her arrest after she breached release conditions for unrelated charges in Saskatchewan.
