The Wildrose party has chosen its candidate in the upcoming provincial by-election in Calgary-Foothills.

The race to replace Jim Prentice now has a full slate of candidates from the major parties

The Wildrose Party has chosen its candidate in the upcoming provincial by-election in Calgary-Foothills.

At a nominating vote last night, the party chose Prasad Panda to represent them on Sept 3.

The Progressive Conservative candidate is local businessman Blair Houston. Bob Hawksworth is representing the NDP, Mark Taylor for the Alberta Party, Ali Bin Sahid for the Liberals and Janet Keeping for the Green Party of Alberta.

The riding was held by former premier Jim Prentice, who resigned his seat following the NDP victory in the spring election.
