Police say a man's death Saturday night in northwest Calgary is no longer being investigated as a homicide following an autopsy.

Officers initially investigated what was described as altercation between two drivers. It followed what police called a "near collision" in the 200 block of 12th Avenue N.W.

One man was transported to hospital with minor injuries, police said. A second man was located in the 1500 block of 22A Street N.W. near a vehicle — around four kilometres from where the original near collision happened — and was declared dead at the scene.

At the time, the homicide unit had been called out to investigate. A further update from police is expected Tuesday.

Because the death has been determined to be non-criminal, police are not releasing the deceased's name.
