Worker at Okotoks No Frills tests positive for COVID-19

An employee at Christine's No Frills in Okotoks, Alta., has tested positive for COVID-19.

The grocery store, which is located at 9 Sandstone Gate, notified shoppers of the positive test through a message posted to its Facebook page on Tuesday, saying it closed for overnight cleaning and reopened Tuesday morning.

The employee was last at work on Saturday, the store said.

"We have a number of protocols in place at the store level, including daily sanitization and social-distancing practices to minimize the risk of exposure to our customers and team members," the Facebook post read.

The company said it would work with local public health officials to determine any further steps.

A total of 1,870 Albertans have tested positive for COVID-19.
