Moose surprises gardener in Calgary yard
There was a moose on the loose in the northwest community of Highwood today. Although it came as a surprise to one Calgary gardener, he was able to snap some great pictures.

There was a moose on the loose in the northwest community of Highwood today.
Karl Priesemann was gardening in his front yard on Thursday morning when he heard a "thump, thump, thumping" sound.
When he turned around he saw a large moose darting across his lawn. He says he wasn't afraid, but was definitely startled.
He quickly snapped some pictures and then went inside to tell his wife about the moose in the front yard.
She didn't believe him until she walked outside and saw the moose for herself.
Fish and Wildlife officers were able to tranquillize the animal on Thursday afternoon after it came to rest in a shaded area. The moose will be taken outside the city for release back into the wild.
