Moose caught on camera in Cougar Ridge Tuesday
Resident Jordan Engbers initially thought they were horses from a nearby acreage
Jordan Engbers was returning to his home in Cougar Ridge Tuesday evening when he came across a moose family and he pulled out his camera and hit record.
"My first thought was that some horses that had gotten loose from a nearby acreage, but quickly realized that they were actually moose," Engbers said.
He said there was a police officer keeping an eye on things but an intervention was not needed.
"It was exciting to see, but I was nervous that someone could get hurt, people were putting out their garbage for pickup, driving home, etc," Engbers explained.
He said this was the first time he was seen moose in his southwest community, but it seems to have ended well.
"Eventually the moose went on a path to the nearby soccer field and, hopefully, made it out of the city safely," Engbers said.
