Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre MLA Joe Anglin says he will seek the Tory nomination for the riding.

He currently represents the central Alberta riding as an independent.

Anglin left the Wildrose Party last November to sit as an independent MLA.

He started his political career with the Alberta Greens.

Anglin said he made the decision to join the Progressive Conservative Party based partly on Premier Jim Prentice’s stated commitment to protecting landowner rights.

The PC nomination vote will be held on Feb. 21.
