A woman who was an employee at a bank in Mission that was robbed last month is now facing charges.

Three men entered the Bank of Montreal on Fourth Street S.W. around 5 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Guns were used and the bank staff were locked in a room while the robbery took place.

The suspects later fled the scene but were arrested nearby.

Police say the woman was considered a victim at first, but officers later found out she was in a relationship with one of the robbery suspects. Staff Sgt. Dave Louie says cases like this are not common.

The 20-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm and six counts of robbery using a firearm.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 23.

The three men arrested in the incident — two 21-year-olds and one 23-year-old — are also facing multiple charges:

  • One count of disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
  • Seven counts of forcible confinement.
  • Seven counts of robbery using a firearm.
  • One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
