'It's been incredibly hard:' Missing man's mother pleads for help to find son last seen in Calgary
Jordan Boucher reported missing in March, his car was found in city's southeast in May
A missing man's mother is pleading for anyone with information on her son's disappearance to come forward after his vehicle was found at a Walmart parking lot in southeast Calgary in May.
At a Calgary news conference on Friday, Jordan Boucher's mother, Roxana Osoroes, addressed her son directly, begging for him to reach out.
"You can do it Jordan, you can make it through this. But please reach out to your mom, reach out to somebody," she said.
Osoroes describes her son as "very motivated and kind-hearted."
She says he came to Calgary with the hopes of starting up his own trucking company, after living in British Columbia for a time, and before that, growing up in Ontario.
She says "it's been incredibly hard" not knowing where or how her son is doing.
Mark Reast , a senior constable with the Calgary Police Service, says officers have exhausted the investigation and now must rely on the public for help.
"We're needing the tips, that golden nugget, that bit of information to find Jordan," he said at the press conference.
Going missing
Boucher was reported missing by his family on March 18. Boucher was headed for Calgary after leaving Salmon Arm, B.C., in early November 2020. He arrived in the city on Nov. 28.
Police say Boucher was seen on Feb. 20, at the First Alliance Church in southeast Calgary, then sighted again on March 5 at the Flying J Truck Stop in the city's southeast.
According to police, Jordan drove to Calgary in a white Volkswagen Jetta with B.C. plates. After asking for public assistance to locate the car, police discovered it in May in a Walmart parking lot in southeast Calgary.
Reast says the car was too far from any video surveillance in the parking lot, but they believe it was Boucher who drove it there.
Police say he often visited the Roadking Truck Stop in the 4900 block of Barlow Trail S.E. and a Denny's restaurant nearby.
Both Jordan's family and investigators are concerned for his well-being.
"Something's telling me as a mother he's out there somewhere and waiting for this pandemic to go through," said Osoroes.
Jordan, who is 26 years old, is just over six feet tall (1.87 metres) and weighs about 180 pounds (81.6 kilograms), police say. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Jordan's disappearance is encouraged to call CPS at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or its website.
