Just after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were at the range when an officer's firearm fired into a table.
A second officer standing nearby was hit in the upper left leg by what the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) says is believed to be a table fragment.
Fellow officers immediately provided first aid to the wounded man, who was taken to hospital.
A bullet was recovered from a nearby wall.
