The stops were made by RCMP between July 22-24.
A 25-year-old man and 55-year-old woman were charged with impaired driving. Police said both drivers had a blood alcohol level of .220, which is nearly three times the legal limit of .08.
Two men also had their licences suspended for 72 hours while another man had his licence suspended for 30 days under the province's zero tolerance program for novice drivers.
Police said checkstops are also planned for the August long weekend.
