Police have charged a Calgary contractor with voyeurism after a client discovered a camera had been concealed in a bathroom electrical socket during a home renovation.

Police have charged a Calgary contractor with voyeurism after a woman discovered a hidden camera in her bathroom.

Police believe the camera was concealed in an electrical socket during a recent home renovation The device recorded compromising images of two females who live in the northeast Calgary home.

A 43-year-old man who operates a renovation company called The Good Shepherd Group is charged with two counts of voyeurism and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.

Investigators believe the device was installed sometime between August and November of this year.

Anyone who has used the man’s company and has concerns is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The city’s licensing inspector is also involved in the investigation because the accused man does not hold a valid business license, police said.
