Calgary police have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run that claimed the life of a 35-year-old man earlier this month.
The victim was walking in the westbound bound lane of 50th Avenue between Macleod Trail and First Street S.W. when he was struck at about 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 1.
The driver of the pickup truck continued to the intersection of Macleod Trail and drove away.
Photos of the suspect's vehicle were obtained from nearby security cameras.
On Wednesday police said in a release that a 45-year-old man has now been arrested and a silver 2007 Dodge Ram has also been seized.
"No charges have been laid at this time as collision reconstruction investigations can take months to complete due to their complexity," the release said.
