Calgary police are looking for suspects in a fatal stabbing near a shelter for the homeless.
A man believed to be in his forties was found unconscious near the Calgary Drop In and Rehab Centre, near Fourth Street S.E. and Dermot Baldwin Way, around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
The man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, but died from his injuries.
"We have a number of people that we would obviously like to speak with. I am sure our investigators will look at any potential closed circuit television that might be available to them," said Duty Insp. Darrell Hesse. "It’s just obviously trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together to determine what occurred."
Police have blocked off an area while the homicide unit investigates.
