Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in southeast Calgary early Tuesday morning — the third suspicious death in the city in less than 24 hours.

Officers were en route to an unrelated call when they found a man with apparent stab wounds lying on the street near 135 Lynnview Road southeast at about 4:45 a.m., police said in a release.

The man, believed to be in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. Police said they have no suspects.

Police are looking for the man's roommate, Eddy Nakasenh-Bandasak, who they say they have not been able to locate. Nakasenh-Bandasak is five feet two inches, with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes.

On Monday afternoon, police were called to two separate suspicious deaths.

At about 1:30 p.m. police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Falconridge Drive N.E. for a reported shooting. A 32-year-old man was found dead inside the home. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

About two hours later, police were called to a home in the 4800 block of First Street N.E. for reports of a man who had collapsed.

The 35-year-old man died at the scene.

"Officers searched the home and took two people in for questioning but their role in the death, if any, is still under investigation," police said.

Police say while it's unusual for there to be three suspicious deaths in the space of 24 hours and it's still early in the investigations, there is no indication that the cases are connected.
