Speed may have been a factor in Barlow Trail collision, police say

A motorcyclist died Tuesday when he collided with a car at the intersection of Barlow Trail and 26th Street S.E. (Google Maps)

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Tuesday on Barlow Trail in southeast Calgary. 

Police say that at around 12:30 p.m., a motorcyclist was driving west on Barlow Trail where it skirts along Albert Park and struck a car turning east on 26th Street S.E.

The 23-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Police are investigating and say speed may have been a factor, but alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been involved.
