CBC Calgary joins the Create Space in the Calgary Central Library with different stations for you to connect with your public broadcaster like never before.

The Create Space is 1,000 square feet of space in Library Express (level 1M) that is dedicated to fostering community conversations and dialogue for adults and youth through a mix of information and interactive engagements. CBC Calgary is very excited to partner with the Calgary Library and have a space in Calgary's core where we can connect with and engage new, diverse audiences while amplifying their stories and opinions through our platforms.

Discover all the different elements that make up CBC — our strategy, our journalistic standards and practices, our history, our local hosts and shows  — through different interactive stations including:

NEW | #CBCCalgary Snapshot Series

The #CBCCalgary Snapshot Series is a community photo gallery of the people, places and things that make up our city. We asked people to tag us in their favourite photos on Instagram for a chance to be featured in our display and if one thing is for sure, Calgary is home to many talented photo-takers. So come check it out and see Calgary (and Alberta) through the lens of another throughout the months of November and December.

The Road Ahead: Have your say

The Road Ahead is CBC's special focus on Calgary — a marketplace of ideas to share and debate possibilities for the kind of community we want and the kind of city we need. And we want to hear from you. We've faced some challenges through the downturn and COVID-19, but we're strong believers in the saying "what goes down must come up." What's one thing you think that will get this city back on track? Have your say and share your answer with us with #cbcroadahead on Twitter.

Media literacy

False news can spread faster, farther, and deeper than real news. But it's not always easy knowing what is true. Read through the different headlines to find the correct answers. We'll also give you some tips to help you decipher between what's a fact and what's fake.
