Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has accepted an invitation from the Calgary Stampede to serve as parade marshal, for the second time.
The parade is the traditional start to the stampede. This year it takes place Friday, July 5.

Hadfield is currently serving as commander aboard the International Space Station in orbit above the Earth.
The stampede issued the invitation in a video.
Hadfield accepted via his Twitter account, tweeting: "It's a good reason to come back to Earth."
Hadfield is set to return from space May 13. He has been aboard the station since December.
Hadfield first performed the ceremonial role of parade marshal in 2001.
