Real estate agent sexually assaulted at Calgary open house, police say
Police say female real estate agent was assaulted on Saturday afternoon
A real estate agent was allegedly sexually assaulted at an open house in southeast Calgary on Saturday afternoon, according to Calgary police.
In a news release, police said a man entered a house in the 800 block of McKenzie Drive S.E. and kept speaking to the female agent even though she tried to end the conversation.
The man grabbed the woman and "touched her sexually without consent," said the Calgary Police Service in its release.
Police said the real estate agent was able to convince the man to leave, but he returned repeatedly — even after the woman locked the door and called for help.
After police responded and arrived on scene, they searched the neighbourhood but were unable to locate the assailant.
They describe the man as wearing a grey shirt with dark shoes, and being of either Middle Eastern or South Asian descent with a salt and pepper beard. Police said he has a medium build and short, brown hair.
Anyone with information on what happened or the identity of the man is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
