CBC Calgary forum on mental health system draws crowd
Roughly 200 people attended a public forum held by CBC Calgary about the state of the mental health system in Alberta for young people.
CBC Calgary held a public forum on youth and mental health as part of our series Breakdown on Monday at the John Dutton Theatre at The Central Library.
About 200 people attended the forum hosted by Eyeopener host David Gray.

Guest panellists included Dr. Chris Wilkes, the medical director for child and adolescent mental health and addiction services with Alberta Health Services Calgary Health Zone; Fiona Haynes, parent and branch manager of the Calgary Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta; and George Ghitan, executive director of Hull Services.
The audience also got to hear from guest speaker Dheny Rivas.
