Carjacking at gunpoint east of Calgary has RCMP seeking 3 suspects
Victim had pulled over at Highway 1 rest stop near Gleichen when he was robbed of wallet and keys
Gleichen RCMP are looking for three people who held up a man at gunpoint at a rest stop on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Calgary, stealing his wallet and his vehicle.
The victim had pulled over at the Gleichen rest stop and had stepped out of his Honda Pilot on Wednesday when another vehicle stopped.
A man got out, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his wallet and keys.
That suspect drove away in the Honda while two other suspects — a man and a woman — left in a small, two-door dark grey car.
The victim was not hurt.
His vehicle was later found south of Strathmore.
Police released surveillance images of the suspects' vehicle.
The suspect who brandished the gun was described as a white man in his late 30s, about five feet six inches tall with a thin build.
He had blond or light brown hair. He was wearing a ball cap and a long sleeve summer jacket.
The second suspect was female, about 18 years old, with a slim face.
The third suspect was a man wearing a light-coloured hoodie.
