Calgary Stampede reduces evening admission to $5 for second night in a row
Promotion offered after deal boosted Thursday attendance
Admission has been down slightly almost every day at this year's Calgary Stampede.
But that all changed on Thursday when the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth slashed its evening admission price to $5.
"We don't have exact statistics between those hours, but we definitely saw some really great attendance numbers," said Stampede spokesperson Jennifer Booth.

"We had almost 110,000 people on park yesterday, so that's a really successful day," Booth said.
The deal lured 13,249 more people to the grounds than the same day last year.
The Stampede said Calgarians can enter the park at the reduced $5 rate again on Friday between 5-7 p.m.
While "it has been a really rainy week," Booth said the promotion isn't being offered to counter the drop in attendance.
"We're always running different promotions," she said. "There's just always ideas floating around and so this is just a new one that we implemented."
The regular price for admission to the Stampede is $18 for adults and $9 for kids and seniors.
