Stabbing inside Beltline hotel sends 1 person to hospital in critical condition

A man is in hospital in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in a hotel room at the Hotel Arts in Calgary's Beltline early Tuesday.

The incident took place around 3:40 a.m. in Hotel Arts

A man is in hospital in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in a hotel room at the Hotel Arts in Calgary's Beltline early Tuesday.

Calgary police say they were called around 3:16 a.m. for a disturbance in one of the hotel rooms. 

Inside, officers found a man with multiple stab wounds. Police say it is believed to be a targeted attack. 

Police say they are seeking two men who fled the hotel. 

The first man is described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, standing six feet with a slim build. He was wearing a red winter coat and blue jeans at the time of the attack. 

The second man is described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a puffy black coat and dark jeans. 

Police continue to investigate and remain on the scene. 

Police have not publicly identified the stabbing victim.
