Update Oct. 2, 9 p.m.: This has been updated to include all confirmed candidates listed on Elections Canada's website.

The federal candidate nomination process closed Monday, meaning the full list of hopefuls is now locked in for good. That means if a candidate withdraws or is kicked out, their party won't be able to choose a replacement.

There are more than 200 candidates running for 13 parties (plus independents) across Alberta's 34 electoral districts.

The Liberals, Conservatives, Greens, NDP and PPC are all running a full slate.

Of southern Alberta's 15 ridings, 12 are currently held by Conservative incumbents. One is held by a Liberal, one is vacant, and one is held by an independent who is not running again.

Those numbers seem unlikely to change wildly — the latest from CBC's Poll Tracker shows Conservatives polling at 58.5 per cent in the province, with the Liberals at 18.3 per cent, NDP at 12.1 per cent, Green at 6.8 per cent and PPC at 3.4 per cent.

Here's a list of the candidates running in Calgary and southern Alberta.

Links are included to candidates' websites if they've listed their site with Elections Canada.

If you're looking for a list of candidates in central and northern Alberta, we've got that too:

Candidates must be Canadian citizens, at least 18-years-old, and have collected signatures of at least 100 electors in the district where they intend to run.
